The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has revealed that it is planning to sample Mars from Earth for the first time in a Mars Sampling Mission (MSR). This is in partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA). The MSR programme will enable scientists to determine whether there has ever been life in the history of Mars. According to BC Focus, the MSR mission will collect samples like rocks through the use of ESA's fetch Rover, which will transport the samples to NASA's Mars Ascent vehicle (MAV) in a bid to launch the samples into orbit on Mars and later ESA's Earth Return Orbiter will be placed in a container capsule in the 2030s to be brought to Earth.
