The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a bid to boost liquidity in the foreign exchange (FX) market announced the lifting of ban on 43 items previously restricted from accessing forex. The decision comes amid high levels of volatility experienced in the FX market following the unification of all trading windows into the investors’ and exporters’ (I&E) window - the official FX market.

The Presidential Committee on Tax Policy and Fiscal Reforms has revealed that the Nigeria Customs Service and 62 other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government will stop direct collection of revenue, This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily breakfast programme on Wednesday. According to Oyedele who is former Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) will now collect revenue for the MDAs.

Taxi Services Suspends At Abuja Airport- FAAN

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total sum of N907.054 billion June 2023 Federation Account Revenue to the Federal Government, States and Local Government Councils.
