A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to a former Minister of Aviation Hadia Sirika, his daughter Fatima, and two others in the sum of N100m for each of the defendants. The court has also stipulated that the defendants, who are facing trial over an alleged ₦2.7 billion fraud must provide two sureties each, who must possess landed properties with valid titles in Abuja and be responsible citizens.
Justice Oriji ordered that the defendants must not travel out of the country without express permission of the court, adding that they will be remanded in prison custody if they failed to meet their bail conditions.
