Chief Damishi Sango, Plateau PDP Chairman and former sports minister, has been kidnapped by yet to be identified persons, on Wednesday, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. Plateau Police Command spokesman, Terna Tyopev, who confirmed this to the NAN on Thursday in Jos, said that Sango was abducted alongside others round Jere-Garkawa road in Kaduna State.
 “They were on their way from Jos to Abuja on Wednesday evening when the kidnappers abducted them,” he said.

The Inspector General of Police, Idris Kpotun Ibrahim, has ordered the immediate reorganisation of a detachment of the Nigerian Police, Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across the country. The development was in response to social media campaign launched on the social media to #ENDSARS. The campaign had exposed some of the atrocities by the Police SARS and called on the police authorities to disband the notorious unit.

Maryam Sanda who allegedly murdered her husband Bilyaminu Haliru with multiple stabbing at the back and genital area on Nov. 19, has been remanded in Suleja prison, on Friday by the FCT High Court in Jabi, Abuja.

Late Haliru was the son of Alhaji Bello Haliru, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The presiding Judge, Justice Yusuf Halilu, adjourned the matter until Dec. 7 after the defendant’s arraignment.

A former Executive Director of Aso Savings and Loans Limited, Mrs Maimuna Aliyu will now be arraigned on December 5, 2017, as the case was adjourned due to the absence of the judge.

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has accused Mrs Aliyu of allegedly selling three plots of land in Abuja, on behalf of Aso Savings and Loans Ltd at the cost of 57 million Naira without remitting same to the bank.

Gunmen Kidnap Ebonyi Medical Director, Admin Staff In Kogi

The Police in Ebonyi State Police has confirmed the kidnap of the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Dr Emeka Onwe Ogah and one of his Administrative officer.
