Worried by the growing cases of insecurity in the country, the Director General of the Directorate of State Security (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, fwc has opined that security agencies in the country must come together to tackle the challenges. He made the assertion at a meeting organized for Spokespersons of Security and Response Agencies at the Secret Police National headquarters in Abuja.
The spy chief noted that each agency must bring its wealth of experience and comparative advantage to complement the effort of the others.
He revealed that inter-agency synergy was necessary to combat the contemporary threats facing the country. Bichi opined that this was the new paradigm of law enforcement and security management across the world.
The DSS Boss tasked the spokespersons to develop ideas and initiatives that can build trust and promote public confidence in security agencies.
Speaking at the meeting, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (retd.), Executive Secretary, Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) disclosed that the center was established to bridge communication gaps between security agencies and the public.
