Asset Declaration Now Mandatory for Public Officials – CCB
The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has issued a warning to civil servants and other public officials regarding the necessity of asset declaration as mandated by national laws, emphasising that failure to comply will result in repercussions. The Chairman of the Bureau, Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello, delivered this warning in Abuja, during a working visit to the corporate headquarters of the Media Trust Group (MTG) on Tuesday. According to Bello, "there is no conflict between the operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) concerning the functions and responsibilities of the CCB."
