Full-time Higher National Diploma graduates who had completed part-time National Diploma programs have protest the proposed exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps scheme. This protest comes as the registration for the second stream of Batch C mobilization began on Monday, January 6.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a new proposal, which will allow students to resit their WASSCE papers as early as January and February 2025. This marks a significant shift from the previous system, where candidates had to wait for another one year private exam cycle before they could resit their failed exams.

In response to the unveiling of fake degree milling institutions in Cotonou and Togo Republics, the Federal Government has commenced action by firing some civil servants with degrees from private tertiary institutions in Benin Republic and Togo. Accordingly, the directive is limited to only federal workers who graduated from the institutions from 2017 to date.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on Tuesday, directed the upgrading of the Government Secondary School, Kabusa, Apo area of Abuja. During inspection Wike said the school was below the acceptable standard. The minister gave this directive during a flag off of construction of 9.8 kilometre Kabusa – Takushara access road in Apo, Abuja. While decrying the present position of the Government school he directed the procurement department to immediately commence the process of upgrading the school to the required standard.
