Nigeria's men's and women's flag football teams are celebrating a landmark achievement after clinching both titles at the inaugural African Flag Football Championships held in Cairo, Egypt. The competition took place over two days, from Friday, June 20, to Saturday, June 21. The men's team claimed a nail-biting 13-12 victory over hosts Egypt in the final, overcoming the pressure of a lively home crowd at the Club One Stadium in Maadi. The atmosphere was electric, with dignitaries including Egypt's Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Ashraf Sobhi, in attendance.
