Islamic New Year: JNI commends Muslims, Urges them to foster Unity and Peace
The Jama'atu Nasril Islam has extended its warmest greetings to all Muslims as the Nigerian Muslim Ummah begins a new Islamic year, Muharram 1447 AH. This was said by Prof. Khalid Aliyu, the JNI Secretary-General, in a statement released in Kaduna on Thursday. According to Aliyu, this holy month is significant in the Islamic calendar because it is one of the four months when vices and conflicts are prohibited.
