The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to use the symbolic sacrifice associated with the Easter celebration to help the vulnerable members in the society. Mrs Tinubu gave the advice during an Easter message she tagged “Blessed Hope in Christ’s Resurrection" in Abuja on Friday as Christians globally remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Jehovah's Witnesses have reviewed their blood transfusion policy to permit members to have their own blood drawn, preserved, and "given back" during medical treatments. Members will be able to receive their own blood transfusions thanks to the move, although they are still not allowed to receive other people's blood in planned procedures, for instance. "Each Christian must decide for himself how his blood will be used in medical and surgical care," stated Gerrit Losch, a member of the group's leadership, upon announcing the change.

The Kano State Government has ordered the immediate shutdown of all entertainment centers across the state for the period of the 2026 Ramadan fasting. Both disc jockey (DJ) operators and event centers, also referred to as gala houses, are impacted by the order. Abdullahi Sani Sulaiman, the Kano State Censorship Board's Public Relations Officer, announced in an official statement on Tuesday.
