The Federal Government (FG) has officially announced an upward review of passport fees for Nigerians living within the country which is effective from September 1st, 2024. This announcement was made known on Wednesday in a statement by its Spokesperson, DCI Kenneth Udo and posted on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

NCAA acting Director General, Chris Najomo, said the agency now runs a zilch tolerance approach to regulatory infractions. The Warri-Itakpe rail transport service resumes full operations on Monday as passengers’ purchases tickets ready to inbound at the Ujevwe trail facility. The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, earlier suspended the train service on the Warri-Itakpe route for Friday, shortly after a coach from the Itakpe train derailed on track at the Major Gen. David Ejor rail station on Thursday. The Minister of Transportation, Senator Ahmed Alkali, while re-assuring passengers of their continued safety, announced the resumption of the Warri-Itakpe station on Sunday.
