The Nigeria Immigration Service has revealed plans to establish a Single Travel Emergency Passport, a new biometric travel document meant to assist Nigerians overseas whose passports have expired, been lost, or stolen in returning home safely and verifiably. The Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kemi Nanna Nandap, disclosed this during the Joint Thematic Meeting of the Khartoum, Rabat, and Niamey Processes held in Abuja, which Nigeria co-hosted with the government of France.

Benjamin Kalu, deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, and Allen Onyema, chairman of Air Peace, were present at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to witness the ceremony. “We are going to bring the bill on the Fly Nigerian Air to him (Benjamin Kalu). He will pass it,” Keyamo said.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has disclosed that all payments at its revenue points, such as access gates, car parks, FAAN VIP, and protocol lounges, will shift to contactless, cashless payment systems commencing from Monday, September 29, 2025, which was disclosed in a statement on its official X account on Thursday.
