Following major improvements by the Oyo State government, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) authorized the resumption of commercial flights at Ibadan's Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport (SLAIA) by granting a provisional operational permit. Air Peace Limited and Overland Airways have announced the start of daily flights between Ibadan and Abuja. Overland Airways will start operating again on December 23, 2025, while Air Peace will start operating again on December 24, 2025.

Through its recently introduced digital system, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced that pilots' licenses and medical certifications would now be connected to the National Identity Number (NIN). It is anticipated that integrating the registration processes with the NIN will reduce fraud, increase security, expedite paperwork, and save time. At yesterday's stakeholder engagement and the launch of EMPIC Personnel Licensing and Medical Certification (PEL/MED) in Abuja, NCAA Director-General Capt. Chris Najomo made this announcement.

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has appealed to commuters using the Abuja-Kaduna train service to remain calm, as the present disruption in movement is temporary. This was contained in a statement by the Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, on 9th December 2025, after concerns over the reduced frequency of train services on the corridor. Opeifa claims that the NRC examined a recent piece written by seasoned journalist Muhammad Iskeel Abdullahi that was posted on the Journalists for Development site and found the issues brought up to be sincere and patriotic.

Due to several factors, including the high passenger load connected with the Yuletide, one-way airfare on some domestic routes has increased by almost 150%, surpassing N300,000.
Checks by Vigil360 found that the spike in airfares was notably on the South-South and South-East routes. These routes have considerable patronage, since most domestic air movements during the Christmas period are to these places.

Some Nigerians living abroad, under the aegis of International Advocacy for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption, have decried the challenges they face in securing National Identification Numbers (NIN) and renewing Nigerian Passports abroad, urging the government to step in and address their concerns.
