At least 28 passengers were burnt to death in an auto crash, which occurred on the Onipetesi area of Mile 49 on the Ore-Lagos Road in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. It was gathered that the tragic accident occurred at the weekend when drivers of two commercial buses heading for the eastern part of the country drove against the traffic and had a head-on collision, bursting into flames. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were at the scene of the incident narrated that two survivors were receiving medical attention at the general hospital were the remains of the deceased were deposited.

The Federal Government through the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), to reactivate new printers to the passport offices in the Nigerian Consulate in Atlanta and New York, United States of America.
