President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday attended the first Adamawa Anti-Corruption Summit in Yola, the Adamawa state capital. In his speech, the president said the country would easily win the war against corruption if the citizens support the ongoing war against graft by his administration.

Atom Maiyashi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state on Tuesday said the six months suspension of Governor Nasir El-Rufai still stands despite the demolition of Senator Hunkuyi's House along Sambo Road by the Governor. Maiyashi stated this on Tuesday during a brief interview with newsmen at the scene of the demolition in Kaduna.

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday ordered that the missing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, be separately tried from the rest of his co-defendants. Justice Binta Nyako made the order following an oral application by the lead prosecuting counsel, Mr. Shuaibu Labaran, who noted that Kanu’s continued absence from court since he was granted bail in April 2017 “has frustrated progress in the case.”

The secretariat of the faction of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna has been demolished.

The controversial secretariat is reported to have been demolished in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Secretariat is located at number 11B Sambo in the state capital.

The Secretariat belongs to the faction loyal to the suspended senators representing Kaduna Central, Sen. Shehu Sani and that of Kaduna North zone, Sen. Suleiman Hunkuyi.

Ahead of the formal inauguration of Operation Cat Race today, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai, has visited Governor Samuel Ortom at the Government House in Makurdi the Benue State capital.

The military exercise is aimed at curbing conflicts and other criminal activities in the north central.

The Nigerian government is ready to prosecute any person or group of persons who engages in hate speeches as well as any media houses that allowed itself to be used by such persons. The Minister of Information Mr. Lai Muhammed gave warning at the 2nd National Union of Journalist (NUJ) National conference held in Kano state with the theme; “Hate Speech: Halting the tide before it is too late “.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja on Tuesday ruled that the trial of the missing leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu be handled separately from the rest of his co-defendants. Justice Nyako gave the order following an application filed by the prosecuting counsel Mr. Shuaibu Labaran.
