Former Nigeria international Victor Anichebe is leading a bid to acquire English club Bromley, according to a report by The Sun. The report said Anichebe is spearheading discussions with Bromley's majority owner, Robin Stanton-Gleaves, over a potential takeover of the newly promoted League One side.

Bromley are preparing for their first season in England's third tier after securing two promotions in three years. The club is seeking significant new investment as it looks to strengthen its finances and remain competitive at the higher level.

Anichebe, 38, enjoyed a career spanning more than a decade in the English top flight, featuring for Everton before later playing for West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland.

Neither Anichebe nor Bromley has publicly commented on the reported takeover discussions.
