Kenya's Korir Breaks Marathon Record, Wins Back-to-Back Titles
Kenyan athlete John Korir delivered a dominant performance to win the Boston Marathon for the second consecutive year, setting a new course record of two hours, one minute and 52 seconds. Korir's victory capped a clean sweep for Kenya at the world's oldest marathon, as defending champion Sharon Lokedi also claimed the women's title in two hours, 18 minutes and 51 seconds. Lokedi had set the previous course record of 2:17:22 last year.
