The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, has cautioned international airlines over transportation of passengers halfway to their destinations, only to be deported back to Nigeria. NCAA condemned the practice, stating that it causes considerable distress for passengers and damages the reputation of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has yesterday made clarification surrounding the controversy trailing the purported cancellation of the Visa-on-Arrival, VOA policy, saying the process was upgraded and not scrapped, as being rumored. At least 28 passengers were burnt to death in an auto crash, which occurred on the Onipetesi area of Mile 49 on the Ore-Lagos Road in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State. It was gathered that the tragic accident occurred at the weekend when drivers of two commercial buses heading for the eastern part of the country drove against the traffic and had a head-on collision, bursting into flames. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were at the scene of the incident narrated that two survivors were receiving medical attention at the general hospital were the remains of the deceased were deposited.
The Federal Government through the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), to reactivate new printers to the passport offices in the Nigerian Consulate in Atlanta and New York, United States of America.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has sets N8.7 million for Southern states, and N8.3 million for Borno and Adamawa zones as 2025 Hajj fare, for intending pilgrims. The Commission disclosed this through the Assistant Director of Information and Publication, Fatima Usara on Monday in Abuja.
