President Bola Tinubu on Monday congratulated Remo Stars Football Club on winning the 2024–2025 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) title. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga, the President described the club’s victory as a milestone achievement that shined a spotlight on Ikenne and Ogun. The President noted the team's historic triumph, coming just four years after Remo Stars’ promotion to the elite league, was a testament to the hard work, discipline, and indomitable spirit of the players, coaching crew, and management. President Tinubu commended the team’s resilience and perseverance, particularly after three previous near-misses in their quest for the league title.

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has hinted that outgoing Manchester United midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, could join the Red Devils after leaving Manchester City as a free agent this summer.
