Former Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr has backed his compatriot Bruno Labbadia to make an instant impact with the Super Eagles.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has concluded an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia to take charge of the Super Eagles as the new head coatch.. Secretary General of the NFF, Mohammed Sanusi made this known this morning while briefing newsmen.

Sven-Göran Eriksson, the distinguished Swedish football manager and former England head coach, has passed away at the age of 76 after a prolonged battle with terminal pancreatic cancer. Eriksson, who revealed his diagnosis at the beginning of 2024, died peacefully at his home on Monday, surrounded by his family.

Former Aston Villa captain, Gabriel Agbonlahor, has called on his former club to sign Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling in this summer transfer window. Agbonlahor applauded the 29-year-old as outstanding; insisting that Aston Villa manager Unai Emery will not regret signing Raheem. Arsenal midfielder, Fabio Vieira, has been excused from the squad that will travel to Aston Villa for Saturday’s Premier League match. This followed the agreement the club had with FC Porto to re-sign the player on loan. Consequently, the player, Vieira will be playing for the Portuguese club until the end of the 2024/25 season.
