Over 6,000 instances of technology-enabled malfeasance in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have been found by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board's Special Committee on Examination Infractions. Dr. Jake Epelle, the chairman of the committee, revealed the results during Monday's report presentation in Abuja.

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFUND has released about ₦100 billion to some selected tertiary institutions across the country to expand training of medical scientists and address the shortage of healthcare professionals in the country. Prof. Mathew Adamu has been appointed as the new Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja (formerly Yakubu Gowon University) by the federal government. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has reported a significant decline in candidate performance in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates, compared to the previous year. Out of 1,969,313 candidates from 23,554 schools who took the exam, only 754,545, representing 38.32%, achieved a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. This reflects a sharp 33.8% drop from the 72.12% recorded in 2024.
