Factional leader of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Julius Abure, has described the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, as an ‘Uber’ politician. Abure stated this in a statement he personally signed this morning, reacting to the bye-election statement from Obi. Abure slammed Obi, saying that Peter Obi is now presumed to have elevated his trick in the game of politics and had of late been crying wolf where there was none.
According to him, Obi has booked a place for himself in the Guinness Book of Records as a person affiliated with many political parties pari passu, all in his desperate move to lead over Nigeria.
Abure’s statement partly said, “It is unfortunate that Obi has turned himself into an irony and a paradox in the Nigerian political space.
“He has turned himself into “Uber” politician, not willing to take a position and stand by his decision,” he said
Abure was reacting in response to Obi’s directives ahead of the August 16 by-elections across the country.
Accordingly, Obi had tasked his supporters to back the candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, instead of LP during the forthcoming by-elections across some states in the country.
