Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, has disclosed that, Lionel Messi is that single player that was instrumental to him in reaching the peak of his career in sport industry. The Argentine International is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers ever to have graced the game. And Mourinho has crossed path with Lionel Messi on many occasions.
Messi engraved his name for the first-team in a debut debut for Barcelona in a friendly match against Mourinho’s Porto in November 2003.
During his time as Real Madrid’s manager, Mourinho faced Messi and Barcelona in LaLiga.
He also came up against Messi in the Champions League in epic battles with Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Mourinho was speaking When asked by Sporty Net to name the player who has helped him grow the most, he daclared “Messi, because every time I played against him he forced me to think a lot.”
