The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has expressed her readiness to champion the fight against the spread of tuberculosis (TB) in Nigeria. She made the pledge when she met with the delegation of Global Stop TB Partnership at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja. She emphasised the need for regular testing and treatment for tuberculosis to reduce the spread of the disease in the country.

A small, recently released study shows a newly developed oral contraceptive for men appears to be both effective and safe. The research, presented at the Endocrine Society’s annual meeting in Chicago by researchers from the University of Washington in Seattle, studied 83 men between the ages of 18 and 50.
