According to Sky Sports News, Manchester United are edging closer to an agreement for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana after more talks between the clubs. It is thought discussions over a compromise on the fee have been very positive after Inter were unwilling to budge on their £51m (€60m) asking price.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem and there remains a willingness from all parties to get the move done after United's opening bid of £38.5m (€45m) was rejected.

Sources close to the player believe there is a desire from all parties to reach a resolution before Onana is due to report for Inter's pre-season on July 13.

Onana has made clear his intention to move to Old Trafford and reunite with his former Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, who is driving the move for the 27-year-old.
