Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has shared that his business often suffers whenever he has disagreements with his wife, Chioma Rowland. Speaking during an appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast on Tuesday, the award-winning artist revealed a recurring pattern where challenges in his career seem to follow arguments with Chioma. He explained that Chioma has had a strong influence on him since their younger years, and to maintain harmony in both his personal and professional life, he now avoids conflicts with her.

“My wife has always had this thing over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business. So, if I fight her, she would say, ‘You are fighting me, abi? Don’t worry. Shebi your album is coming and you want to fight me?’ She has that grace.”

Davido also shared that he has turned a new leaf when it comes to relationships, stating that he is no longer interested in cheating and is committed to a more responsible lifestyle. He acknowledged having five children with four different women and said this had motivated him to make positive changes in his life to avoid further complications.

“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I have five kids with four women. I’d rather go and live how my other guys are living. Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher.”
