The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has today announced that it has suspended the nationwide industrial action it commenced last week with effect from tomorrow June 22, 2020.

 

The Association said it took the decision in other to enable government time to fulfill their own part of the bargain following an appeal by the Speaker, House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Secretary to the government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, and other major stakeholders who persuaded with them to see the reason why they do not need to go on strike at this critical moment.

NARD made the announcement today in Abuja through a communiqué read to pressmen by its president, Dr. Aliyu Sokomba, after it National Executive Council Meeting attended by over three hundred of its members.
