Premier League side AFC Bournemouth have sacked manager, Scott Parker a few weeks into the new season. The club made the announcement on Tuesday morning on its official website stating that Parker will be replaced in the interim by former Bournemouth midfielder, Gary O’Neil.
The sack of parker is coming a few days after their 9-0 defeat Premier League 9-0 defeat to Liverpool. The 41-year-old is now the first manager to get the boot in the 2022/23 season after losing his last three games against Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal.
The statement, which quoted club owner, Maxim Demin, reads in part, “AFC Bournemouth can announce that the club has parted company with head coach Scott Parker.
“Gary O’Neil will take interim charge of the team and will be assisted by Shaun Cooper and Tommy Elphick.”
