Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emenike is not yet fit to make his official debut for Spanish LaLiga club Las Palmas, reports in Spain claim.
Former Super Eagles striker Emenike joined Las Palmas on the final day of the winter transfer window on a six-month loan deal from Greek outfit Olympiacos.
He was excluded from the squad that defeated fellow strugglers Malaga 1-0 on Monday.
The other Nigerian at the club Oghenekaro Etebo however made his debut for Las Palmas in the game.
According to report in Spanish online news outlet, laprovincia.es, the 30-year-old arrived overweight and a special plan has been mapped out to put him in the right physical condition.
The forward weighed 95 Kilos during his medicals last Wednesday and needs to lose four to five Kilos to be in his ideal weight.
He has been ruled out of Saturday’s Spanish LaLiga Santander fixture against Athletico Bilbao at the San Mames as he is not included in Las Palmas 18-man squad for the game.
