Real Madrid Bent on signing Trent Alexander-Arnold in January 

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a second bid to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold, aiming to lure him away from Liverpool during the January transfer window. As the European transfer window opens, top clubs are intensifying efforts to strengthen their squads early in 2025. Reigning La Liga and Champions League champions Real Madrid are keen to add more star players to their roster at the Santiago Bernabéu.

England international Alexander-Arnold has been on Real’s radar for some time. The dynamic right-back’s contract at Liverpool is nearing its end, and with no extension agreed upon, the 26-year-old is now free to negotiate with clubs outside the Premier League.

According to The Times, Real Madrid are ready to offer approximately £20 million ($25 million) to secure Alexander-Arnold in January rather than waiting for him to become a free agent in the summer. However, Liverpool have made it clear they have no plans to sell their homegrown talent midway through their pursuit of major trophies in the 2024-25 season.

The Reds remain optimistic about convincing Alexander-Arnold to commit to a new deal at Anfield. While there has been speculation about his interest in joining England teammate Jude Bellingham in Spain, the defender has not publicly indicated any desire to seek a new challenge.
