Super Eagles of Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, has send a scout to watch Deportivo La Coruna of Spain goalkeeper, Francis Odinaka Uzoho , in this week’s La-Liga fixture against Girona. Rohr is searching for options in the goalkeeping department of his team, and views the youthful player as an option after his La-Liga debut last weekend against Eibar.
Although the coach is aware of his progress at Deportivo La Coruna, the need to watch him at close quarters has now become imperative after his debut last weekend. It was gathered that Rohr will send one of the European scouts working with him to run the rule on the goalkeeper who is expected to keep his first team spot when they take on Girona in the league on Monday.
The game will also help the technical crew monitor the progress of one of the strikers of the Nigeria team in the same game in Olarewaju Kayode who is on loan to Girona from Manchester City.
