Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager, Unai Emery has reportedly addressed the altercation involving the club's most expensive player, Neymar and Edinson Cavani, as the club prepare to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League clash on Wednesday. ESPN reports that in a prematch conference, the manger told journalists that the issue has been resolved and the players would conduct themselves in subsequent matches.
"Many of our players are capable [of taking penalties]. Many of them also want to. Edinson and Neymar are ready. There will be plenty of penalties and both will benefit from that. I have spoken with both of them. I have told them how things will work from here."
He said the resolution of the rift was crucial because it would have affected the needed cohesion in the team since other teams currently consider PSG a serious threat in Europe.
"I have been on the other side, coming up against the biggest teams in Europe with the best players in the world. We have taken an important step and become one of these sides. We have more serious sporting enemies. The other teams can see that we mean business. There is real competition between PSG and the biggest teams. This is good for us."
Ahead of the Champions League clash, Emery revealed that Neymar who was sidelined in their game against Montpellier had recovered from toe injury and would feature in the match. He also added that Angel Di Mari had also recovered and was available for selection.
"There will be 20 players training later and if everything goes well, there will still be 20 tomorrow. Neymar and Angel will be there. Javier [Pastore] is continuing his recovery. He is getting better. We hope that he will be ready to play as soon as possible," he added.
