The Police Command in Borno on Monday said 16 persons were killed and 18 others sustained injuries in multiple suicide bomb attacks at Muna area of Maiduguri.

The Police Commissioner, Mr Damian Chukwu, confirmed the incident in a text message sent to newsmen in Maiduguri.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered a temporary forfeiture of funds and freezing of accounts domiciled in 19 Banks not covered by the Biometric Verification Number (BVN). The judge also ordered the 19 banks to file an affidavit of disclosure before the court which should be deposed to by the Chief Compliance Officer of all accounts of those the orders are directed to.

An unidentified man has leaped into the Lagos Lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, Lagos, according to reports. Witnesses say the incident took place on Friday morning. The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, confirmed the incident, a report said even as officials of LASEMA and the Marine Police were at the scene to search for the man.
