Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State is dead. The Ondo state political leader was reportedly died in Lagos today Wednesday, 27th Dec, 2023 at the age of 67. He suffered from a prolonged illness and was being managed by State House doctors up to his point of death though they could not fly him abroad.
According to the vanguard who first broke the new after being informed by a reliable source from the family, “Akeredolu is dead; he died in Lagos”.
“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week.”
Recall that the ailing governor returned to Nigeria in September after being away for about a three-month medical leave in Germany.
Recently, he went on another medical leave after being directed by President Bola Tinubu to hand over power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The governor will be remembered for the good things he did to Ondo state while serving as the their political leader in the state.
He will be missed by his family.
