The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that it has registered over 500,000 candidates for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

This was disclosed by JAMB’s Registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede during the monitoring of the registration exercise in the Bwari Area Council in Abuja.

According to him, “So far so good, we have registered over five hundred thousand candidates. We are expecting about 1.5 million or thereabout. We still have more than twelve days to go and if things continue to move smoothly, we plan to register fifty thousand per day. Two days ago, it was over seventy thousand per day. We believe today we should be able to register seventy thousand”.

He also disclosed that potential candidates for the upcoming 2022 UTME should be wary of the activities of fraudsters.

The board had earlier disclosed that registration for the 2022 UTME ends on 26th March 2022 while the mock examination is scheduled to hold on 9th April 2022 and the 2022 UTME would hold from 6th May to 16th May 2022.
