Reactions have trailed the coronation of one Mr Mike Zhang a Chinese trader in Kano state, North West Nigeria. The Emir of Kano, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II had recently approved the appointment and instalment of Zhang, as a chief and leader of the growing Chinese community in the northern Nigerian state.

President Muhammadu Buhari will today, 23rd April 2019 receive the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Presidential aide, Garba Shehu confirmed the visit of the oil-rich country’s emir. The emir is coming three years after President Buhari visited Doha, the Qatari capital in February 2016, where he attended a meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

The Federal Government has declared public holidays for Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, to mark the 2019 Easter celebration. The interdenominational Service which was graced by Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode and his Oyo State counterpart, Abiodun Ajimobi was held at Obafemi Awolowo Square in Osinbajo’s hometown, Ikenne, Ogun State.
