7.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Japan, Triggers Red Alert Tsunami
A 7.5 magnitude earthquake has hit the western part of Japan this afternoon triggering a red alert for tsunami.
As the pandemonium gets higher, residents were prompted to evacuate all the affected coastal areas with immediate effect by the authority. According to the United States Geological Survey, USGS, the earthquake was measured to be approximately 10km depth and 42km northeast of Anamizu in Ishikawa prefecture.
