Nigeria’s Super Falcons will face Ghana’s Black Queens in a friendly fixture on Saturday as both teams intensify preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli in Casablanca, Morocco, where the two West African rivals will use the match to assess their readiness ahead of the continental tournament.
The Super Falcons arrived in Casablanca on Monday to begin their camping programme for the WAFCON 2026 finals. The team has commenced preparations with 10 players already settled at their base, the Hotel Marriott.
Among the early arrivals are team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie and Fatima Oloko, defenders Oluwatosin Demehin, Glory Ogbonna, Christy Ucheibe, Shukurat Oladipo and Rofiat Imuran, midfielder Jennifer Echegini, and forward Asisat Oshoala.
The Nigerian side is expected to hold its first training session at the Stade El Arbi Zaouli on Tuesday evening as the head coach and his technical crew begin final assessments ahead of the friendly clash.
The match against Ghana’s Black Queens is part of the Super Falcons’ build-up plans as they continue preparations for another campaign at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
