Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has this afternoon Friday, paid a homage to former president Muhammadu Buhari in his Kaduna home. In company of Atiku were former governors of Sokoto and Kaduna States, Aminu Tambuwal and Nasir El-Rufai, alongside other opposition bigwigs, as seen in a video shared on social media by the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

During the visit, Atiku narrated that the former President in his usual manner cracked them up with jokes during their time with him.

Atiku said, “As the Waziri Adamawa, I was obligated to be in my Adamawa during the Sallah celebrations. I held forth for the Lamido Fombina (Adamawa) in some of the activities of the Sallah celebrations.

He wrote, “Today, I had the opportunity to pay a post-Sallah visit to His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2015-2023. It was a wonderful time with him. As usual, he cracked me up (to the extent that my ribs were hurting) with his peculiar humour”.

However, speculators have liken the visit to political alignment ahead of the 2027 general election, just like how president Tinubu sent some delegation of APC governors on a similar mission when he jetted out to France last week.
