Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro has slammed the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for handing his brother five-match ban over his conduct during the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. Aveiro who described Ronaldo as a god, enthused that those seeking his fall will be surprised at the kind of energy he would exude when he serves out his ban. She stated this on Wednesday after she posted the picture of Ronaldo celebrating the goal he scored during the encounter.
Her post on Instagram read;
"They will have to bring down a god in order to destroy you and because nobody can bring god down they will have to sit frustrated and wait. When you return after these five matches that they unfairly gave you, you will have a force that has not been seen before. If they think that they have seen your true strength then they are mistaken... the work is in construction... justice is on its way."
Recall that Ronaldo was sent off after receiving the second yellow card during the encounter. The first card was awarded when the star player removed his shirt to celebrate his stunning goal. After he was red carded, Ronaldo was observed slightly shoving the referee, a development the RFEF said violated its code. He was subsequently given additional four-match ban.
Although Real Madrid attempted to appeal the verdict, the move was thrown out.
