The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group B along with Benin, Senegal and Mali for the maiden edition of the Women’s WAFU Cup of Nations holding in Ivory Coast. The Falcons have not played since winning the African Women Cup of Nations in Cameroon. The team is also without a Coach following the refusal of the Nigeria Football Federation to give Florence Omagbemi the job.
The WAFU Women Cup holds from 14th to the 24th of next month.
Two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage of the competition.
Host Ivory Coast will play Ghana in the opening match on 14th February in Abidjan.
