The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has busted a gang of internet fraudsters in Minna, Niger state. The nine suspects arrested by the commission were paraded on Monday, February, 22. The commission revealed in a statement shared on its official Twitter page that the culprits were apprehended in an early morning operation on February 22.
According to EFCC, the arrest was carried out by operatives from the Advance Fee Fraud Section, EFCC headquarters, followed credible intelligence on the suspects’ alleged fraudulent activities.
Items including mobile phones, laptops, and cars were recovered from the suspects.
The commission revealed further that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
