The Nigerian Embassy in Germany has sacked a security Guard, Martins Oni who was alleged of demanding sex from a woman in a controversial video some times last month. In November last month, footage on social media went viral showing Oni in one Hotel room dressed half-naked and involved in a hot argument with yet to be identified person accusing him of demanding sex from a female who seeks to renew her passport.
Swiftly, the Nigerian Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar ordered for an investigation into the matter, while Oni remains suspended during the investigation. In an update statement by the Embassy today in Germany, Oni was found guilty of the allegation. The statement reads; “The Investigation Committee interviewed Mr Oni and other witnesses as part of a thorough examination of these very serious charges.
“It concluded that Mr Oni was culpable and in violation of all the relevant codes. “As a result, Mr Martins Adedeji Oni’s contract with the Embassy as a Local Staff has been terminated.”
The Embassy thanked the public for exposing the unethical behaviour of Oni, it stressed that the Embassy would have zero-tolerance for any act of abuse of office especially that of sexual misconduct.
