The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), which was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026.
This was made known in a post issued from WAEC’s official X account on Wednesday, which read, “UPDATE: 2026 WASSCE results have been released. Generate your PIN at waec.org and check your results now on waecdirect.org.”
According to the Council, about 1.9 million Nigerians sat for the examination, with a total of 1,200,514 candidates, representing 61.54 per cent, who obtained credits and above in at least five subjects, including English and mathematics; however, 167,486 results, representing 8.59 per cent, were withheld over alleged examination malpractice.
