In line with the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda, the Federal Ministry of Education has announced the appointment of Dr. Suleiman Balarabe as the acting Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Education, Zaria, Kaduna state. This is contained in a statement made available by Sani Lawal-Makarfi, Special Assistant to the acting vice-chancellor, yesterday in Zaria.
According to Lawal-Makarfi, the development followed the conversion of the Federal College of Education, Zaria, into a Federal University of Education.
Mr Lawal-Makarfi disclosed that the appointment was conveyed through a letter signed by Dr Nasiru Sani-Gwarzo, a Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Education.
While congratulating the acting VC, Mr Gwarzo enjoined him to continue with the good work he is known for.
Accordingly, Mr Balarabe commenced his career in administrative journey as a Head of Department, English Language, and progressively rose through the ranks to get to where he is today.
Meanwhile, he has held the offices of the Dean, School of Languages, Deputy Provost, and Provost of the defunct Federal College of Education, Zaria.
