Hollywood Celebrates Jordan’s Landmark Best Actor Victory

Michael B. Jordan's historic Oscar win for 'Sinners' has ignited widespread celebration across Hollywood, drawing tributes, nostalgia, and admiration from colleagues and collaborators. The 39-year-old actor, now the sixth Black performer to win Best Actor, received praise spanning his early days in television to his rise as a global film star.

Soap opera icon Susan Lucci led early tributes, celebrating her former 'All My Children' co-star and recalling his gracious acceptance speech, describing him as a "spectacular actor."

Walt Willey, who played Jordan’s adoptive father on the soap, shared personal memories of driving him to set in New Jersey, noting he had long predicted the actor’s success due to his strong family values and work ethic.

Jordan secured the Best Actor award at the 2026 Oscars after beating a competitive field that included Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Wagner Moura, and Timothée Chalamet, marking a major turning point in his career.
