The Head of the Public Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, revealed on Friday in Abuja that the Federal Government has authorized a ₦10 billion housing loan initiative to improve access to home ownership for public officials. Walson-Jack stated that the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board would carry out the project during a current news briefing. She claims that by allowing employees to buy homes, the program is intended to improve stability and efficiency within the civil service.
She highlighted the wider effects of home ownership on employee morale and productivity, pointing out that safe housing has a big impact on output. The Head of Service described the project as a component of a larger reform program, stating that the housing scheme symbolizes the administration's governing philosophy and extends beyond assistance.
Walson-Jack also emphasized current initiatives to modernize the public sector, such as the shift to a more digitized and effective system. She reiterated her dedication to enhancing the welfare and capabilities of civil personnel nationwide.
