The World Health Organisation (WHO), has disclosed that it has recorded success in controlling river blindness in Africa after more than 40 years of sustained effort. WHO Regional Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, stated this in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday while highlighting the organisation’s progress in the past biennium in the region.
