Following the discovery of four recent Coronavirus cases in Lagos Today 19th March 2020, the Federal Capital Territory Administration has ordered the closure of both private and public schools in Abuja effective Friday 20th 2020 until further notice.
This was disclosed by the Special Assistant to the FCT Minister of State, Mr Austin Elemue on 19th March 2020 been ordered by Federal Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, as a preventive measure to curb the spread of the pandemic virus ravaging the globe.
The Special Assistant to the minister, however, assured parents that lost school session will be catered for subsequently.
More so, the FCT Minister of State also directed the restriction of social gathering and worship centres to act as preventive measures to curtail the spread of the virus.
