The governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i said out of the 59 active cases of coronavirus in Kaduna state, 50 of them were found among the repatriated Almajiris that were returned from Kano state.
El-Rufa’i disclosed this through his official twitter handle, saying, the state now has recorded an additional 50 cases from the repatriated Almajiris making the Kaduna toll for the COVID-19 to stand at 59.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the Kaduna state has 66 confirmed cases of the coronavirus out of which six persons including the Governor has been discharged of the COVID-19 while one person could not make it.
The agency had on Saturday revealed 31 confirmed cases a few hours after the state government confirmed 14 additional cases among Almajiri and subsequently confirmed another 16 positive results from others.
