Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19. Governor Bello made this known in a tweet on Monday, November, 9, 2020, revealing that he is asymptomatic and is in isolation. On his twitter handle he wrote: “I have tested positive to #COVID19. However, I am asymptomatic and have gone into isolation,” the governor posted.

Similarly, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned of a second wave of COVID-19 which it said is imminent. This followed a sharp rise in confirmed cases when the centre announced 300 new infections on Sunday.
The NCDC said after some weeks of recording low number of cases in the country, the 300 new cases bring the total number of infections in Nigeria to 64,090.
