The round of 16 draws for the UEFA Champions League which took place at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland today Monday, December 18, has produced some intriguing matchups, highlighted by Arsenal taking on FC Porto. The first-leg is scheduled to take place on 13/14/20/21 February 2024 with the second leg following on 5/6/12/13 March. The Gunners were handed a kind draw in Switzerland after topping their group. PSG will face Kieran Tierney's Real Sociedad while Inter take on Atletico Madrid. Possibly the biggest game of the rounds comes in the shape of Napoli vs Barcelona.

Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Nigeria, Mr Kalilou Traore, has revealed that the 2024 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, will usher an opportunity for his country to further strengthen cooperation with Nigeria as partners in progress. Traore made this statement during an interview with newsmen today Sunday in Abuja, as the country’s preparation to host the AFCON tournament from Jan. 14 to Feb. 13, 2024 in underway. 

Javier Tebas has been re-elected for a fourth term as the President of the Spanish La Liga after running unopposed. Tebas, 61, had resigned in November in order to seek a fourth term and was the only candidate. He assumed the Presidency of La Liga for the first time in April 2013 and was re-elected in 2016 and 2019.
