Nigeria men’s football team secured their place at world cup finals with a 1 – 0 victory over Zambia in Uyo, with Alex Iwobi’s strike. Iwobi proved himself a super substitute for Nigeria on Saturday when he scored the decisive goal needed to take the African football giant to the Russian World Cup. Iwobi came in the 67th minute and seven minutes after, he utilized a cross by Victor Moses to score for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Madrid City council has named a sports centre after former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Wilfred Agbonavbare. The council recommended renaming of the Alberto Garcia Sports Center after the late Agbonavbare.
